The fifth edition of the Tangier Summer International Festival concluded on Friday evening, July 31, 2026, after four days of artistic, cultural, and heritage activities held at Bab Al Marsa Square (Old Bab Diwana), attracting a large audience as part of the celebrations marking the 27th anniversary of the Enthronement Day of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
The closing ceremony opened with a traditional Gnawa performance led by Maâlem Abdelkader Haddada, followed by performances from Cherifa Hassan, Mohamed El Arabi Sistema, Yasser Imad, Hamza Sanhaji, and Kamilia Chibi. The program combined Moroccan musical heritage with contemporary rhythms, creating an atmosphere of strong interaction with the audience.
Singer Saida Charaf concluded the festival with a performance warmly welcomed by spectators, who filled the venue in a festive atmosphere marked by national flags and celebrations of Morocco’s Throne Day.
The successful fifth edition further strengthened the festival’s position as one of Tangier’s leading cultural events, offering a diverse artistic program that promotes Moroccan heritage while embracing contemporary musical expressions and contributing to the city’s cultural vitality during the summer season.
